UAE JIU-JITSU FEDERATION

 
With the support and guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation was established in November 2012 as the official authority for Jiu-Jitsu in the UAE. The Federation plays a leading role in supporting Jiu-Jitsu and contributing to building a strong generation of UAE athletes to excel at the local and international levels. The Federation’s role is to implement policies that develop the sport in collaboration with various government entities, educational institutions and other partners in order to advance the sport locally, regionally and globally.

CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE

Jiu-Jitsu has become one of the most popular martial arts in the world, and has attracted a strong following in regional and global sports forums, due to its suitability for different ages, and the physical, intellectual and social benefits that its practice confers. With the support and generous guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation is responsible for furthering the spread of the culture of Jiu-Jitsu and providing a stimulating and encouraging environment for practitioners of this sport.
One of the main goals of the federation is to organize events to promote the sport of Jiu-Jitsu locally and globally, and to provide the optimum preparatory conditions for the country’s athletes, in a way that prepares them to achieve success on continental and global platforms. The recent years bear the best testimony to the UAE’s rising stature on a global level, and its superiority in terms of organizing leading tournaments for local and international athletes, especially the iconic Abu Dhabi World Professional Championship which has fast become a coveted tournament for prominent international Jiu-Jitsu professionals. The Federation also devotes a large part of its activities to building bridges of cooperation with all sectors of society and vital institutions in sectors both public and private as part of its commitment to social responsibility and national and societal initiatives. The UAEJJF aims to serve all segments of society and foster a culture of creativity and excellence. We at the UAEJJF draw inspiration from the vision of our wise and visionary leadership that motivates us to support sport and the march of UAE’s sporting movement to host major sporting events in accordance with global best practice standards. We are committed to harnessing the energy, talents, and capabilities of the people of our country to further contribute in developing the UAE’s sports sector and keep the flag of our country flying high at international sporting events. Our mission is to continue this ambitious march, armed with the support of our wise leadership, innovative ideas and exceptional ideas towards achieving our goals and vision in preserving the UAE’s pioneering position on the world’s Jiu-Jitsu map. Creativity will remain at the heart of our work, and the UAE athletes at the core of our interest in helping raise performances to the best international levels, helping these athletes realize all their ambitions.
